Liquid Nitrogen Foliar Fertiliser
Rich in Sulphate - £100 Per 1000L
Grows High Protein Quality Grass
Total Nitrogen 8%, Total Sulphur 10%
Sulphur is as important as nitrogen and is an important nutrient, lands and crops have been depleted of sulphur levels from the mid nineteen nineties, with the reduction of high natural sulphur from fossil fuels, for example, coal, this is not to be over looked in the growing of high quality, high protein crops and provides thicker blades of grass every time.
Sulphur is important for vitamins, amino acids and the recovery systems of animals. Sulphur is necessary for nitrogen uptake, it provides higher protein, better amino acids, quality vitamins and a better smelling, tasting yield of crop. Providing an important and stronger immune system and happier, healthier animals all round.
You find low sulphur levels in light sandy soils and higher rainfall conditions the mineralization process is not enough to meet the sulphur requirements of the crop, sulphur exists in soil in small amounts because of the natural low levels, the plants need a higher amount of sulphur added to the soil
Plant leaves can take up sulphur from the atmosphere as sulphur dioxide (So2), but this is at minor amounts, hence the need for sulphur application to soils.
The application of liquid sulphur during the early growth stage of the plant, leaves it acceptable to other fertilisers like liquid nitrogen.
Sulphur emissions have dropped from 30% an acre to less than 2% an acre, there is sulphur in cattle manure but as little as 6% sulphur is available to plants and crops in the early spring after an autumn applications this is due to heavy rain and leaching hence the need for ammonium liquid sulphur to be added with the slurry applications.
Sulphur has many functions in plants. It is an essential component of amino acids, proteins, and oils. It is also necessary for chlorophyll formation and efficient photosynthesis, aids nitrogen fixation in clover, beans and peas which helps develop and activate plant enzymes and vitamins.
Ammonium sulphate is a water-soluble fertiliser that is perfect for promoting healthy growth and green-up with use of sulphur in plants. This fertiliser is cost-effective and provides a quick release of nitrogen to encourage leafy growth. Ammonium sulphate also contains 10% sulphur, which improves the colour and density of grass, giving you a heavier sward of grass making it an ideal solution for nitrogen and sulphur deficiencies within the soil. This makes it possible to grow a wide range of crops, especially leafy green plants, as it boosts their early growth and provides supply of sulphur for later growth.
To reinvigorate old grass, simply spray liquid Ammonium Sulphate or adding it to slurry ( can be reapplied at monthly intervals between April and September). Using flexible application rates to suit growth requirements, ammonium sulphate is a quick-acting and highly beneficial fertiliser for grass.

Q: What is ammonium liquid nitrogen sulphate? A: Ammonia sulphate solution is a bi product created by the breakdown of organic material by micro organisms without oxygen, anaerobic digesters produce a bio gas high in methane and a digestive (A.S.S) which is a source of nutrients and used as a quality fertiliser.
Our ammonia sulphate comes from an anaerobic digester plant, this anaerobic digester system has the latest technology to produce high concentration fertiliser in the form of ammonia sulphate solution. Ammonia sulphate use grass production. Sulphur is crucial in the line conversion of Nitrogen into protein which in turn improves the feed quality of herbage (grass & clover) with lower free Nitrogen. Ammonium Sulphate has been shown to increase silage yield: 38% increase in dry matter yield on a three cut silage system where the Nitrogen is applied as Ammonium Sulphate. It is estimated that 75% of the UK received less sulphur than the optimal requirement for a cut grass crop. Application of Ammonium Sulphate can: Increase the protein content of grass and silage resulting in improved outputs from grazing livestock: Increase soluble carbohydrates: Improve yields and lessen leaching of N into water, so better for the environment: 72% less prone to leaching than Nitrate (N) enabling earlier application.
